Frodo, the brave young Baggins

I think you will recognize the rhythm of this familiar tune as you read the words.

There are Bolgers and Brandybucks,
Tooks, Chubbs and Proundfeet.
There's Bilbo and Samwise,
Pippin and Merry.
But do you recall
The famousest hobbit of all?

Frodo, the brave young Baggins
Had a very shiny ring.
Made by the Dark Lord Sauron,
It was a very evil thing.

Led by the wizard, Gandalf,
Frodo and his loyal friends
Set out to go to Mordor,
Where the ring would meet its end.

When the Fellowship dissolved,
Frodo struggled on,
With the strength born of the Shire.
The ring was cast into the fire!

Frodo was honored greatly,
Hobbits had achieved great things
So Middle Earth gained freedom,
From the curse of magic rings.
